Witham Carnival – 9th July 2016
Saturday was amazing!
Our Carnival Court attended Witham Carnival on Saturday, celebrating 40 years of their amazing carnivals.
It was lovely to see lots of other courts and the huge crowds of people!
Later that day, during our ‘Queen’s tea’ our court were extremely proud to be have discovered that we had been judged as ‘Court of the day’! 🙂 Congratulations to Sudbury Court for their 2nd place and Kent Invicta in 3rd place.
To end our lovely day we had a trip to the fair, which our Senior Princess Cheyenne and I were very excited about.
Thank you to all of the amazing helpers involved in Saturday’s carnival and good luck to the new Witham Carnival Court, enjoy this year!
All together is was a great evening and an amazing day!

Selection Night 2016
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Cheyenne and for the past year I’ve been representing Mersea Island Carnival as their Queen.
I’ve had so much fun doing all of the carnivals and have made so many new friends along the way.
I’d like to thank Cherry, Poppy and Ellie for being an amazing part of our court and always making sure we all have fun. I’d also like to thank Carla, Heidi and Luke for always making sure that we know what to do and for feeding me.
I’ve had a great year and I’ll never forget it. Thank you!
Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Ellie, I am 12 years old and I have been representing Mersea Carnival for two years now, firstly as the 2014 Queen and the 2015 Princess.
My time in the carnival has been very exciting as me and the girls always have so much fun! My best memory of being in the carnival was at Burnham Carnival which was an evening carnival so all lit up. me and the girls enjoyed dancing on the float that night!
I would like to thank all of the chaperones for looking after me and the other girls.
I’d also like to thank Cheyenne, Cherry and Poppy for being great friends with me and enjoying our parties at each carnival.
I will be sad to leave but have many enjoyable memories to look back on.
Thank you for listening and enjoy the evening.
